Cape Town Kite Club does not itself run a kiteschool – our focus is on running the best possible accommodation without the distraction of teaching at the same time. We do, however, know all the local schools and can advise and recommend places to learn (if you are a beginner) or improve if you need for example wave-coaching or just want to learn a new trick.
We do not ask for, or accept, commission from schools or coaches we send referrals to.
Rentals
Cape Town Kite Club is pleased to offer kitesurfing equipment rental with rental partner North Kiteboarding. Please note that for non-guests all rentals are 3 day minimum. For guests staying at the club we rent by the day. Please contact us for club guest pricing and rental options.
We have 5 strut Orbits in sizes 6m, 7m, 8m, 9m and 10m and 3 strut Reach kites in sizes 8m, 10m and 12m.
We stock twin tips and wave boards. We have small, medium and large and XL harnesses. If possible, bring your own wetsuit however if you cannot then (subject to availability) we have the most commonly rented wetsuit sizes, which is (men’s) S, M, L and XL wetsuits.
We don’t rent by the hour or half day. Rentals to guests are full day/same day. Rentals to those not staying at the club are subject to a three day minimum.
Rentals are intended for competent kitesurfers rather than “to learn on” so we will ask you about your kiting level prior to agreeing a rental.
An indemnity form will have to be completed prior to rental and for people wishing to rent who are not guests of the club your passport will be held as security for the duration of the rental.

Please note we don’t guarantee availability (but we also don’t charge if there is no wind and you cancel). We do try to avoid over committing our equipment.
If you are not a guest of the club, we hold your passport in our safe as security for the rental.
Payment options: cash (Rand, GBP or EUR) or Revolut app or direct bank transfer. We don’t take cards or PayPal, sorry.
